On the 20th May 2011 I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of now…. Jo and Kev Power.
The wedding ceremony took place at St Marys Church, Prescott Road but first I arrived at Jo’s dads house to grab some impromptu shots of all the madness! With plenty of people at the house and little ones running around there was no time to rest, I got straight stuck in to the atmosphere and managed to get some corkers of the boys playing, “thumb wars”…and when i say boys, not the groom and best man!
The weather was a little damp after the ceremony so we headed back indoors for some family shots, after this we headed straight to Mossock Hall Golf Club for the wedding reception. The guys at Mossock Hall couldn’t have been nicer, having someone at the front door greeting everyone as they arrived I thought was a lovely touch. Mossock Hall Wedding venue is very relaxed and unobtrusive meaning it’s ideal for my unobtrusive and reportage style.
The arrival of one chap during the day has been forever imprinted in my mind, the “Reptile Man”. In over 5 year doing this professionally I have never seen something as unique as this, what a imaginative idea, it had everyone involved. And of course made for some amazing wedding photographs. Snakes, Reptiles, Owls and insects were just a few creepy crawlies on the menu, not to eat that is!
A+ for the most interesting wedding I have attended so far, Jo and Kev should be so proud of themselves for putting on such a great day.
